Who we are:

We are local experts welcoming guests from all over the world to show them our beautiful city!

What we are CURRENTLY looking for:

  • DUTCH & GERMAN Speaking Bike Guides
  • Archipelago Kayak Guides (Qualified)

Dutch & German Speaking Bike Guides

  • preparing the tour,
  • welcoming the clients,
  • guiding in Stockholm,
  • packing away the equipment after the tour.

General Profile:

  • over 23 years old,
  • fluent in English & Dutch / German (depending on position)
  • outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic,
  • at ease in front of a group,
  • able to give direction and instruction,
  • interested in tourism and outdoor activities,
  • have First Aid knowledge/certification,
  • be familiar with the area,
  • happy to work weekends,
  • knowledge of the city centre,
  • (able to ride a bike).

Description of the job:

Stockholm Adventures offers guided, self guided and private guided tours for groups, individual and families, from all over the world, all year around!  We create genuine and unforgettable experiences for people who love exploration and adventure, and in doing so we put great emphasis on quality equipment, outstanding hospitality, fresh and delicious food and careful consideration for our guests and the environment every step of the way.  We have a great team of guides running a variety of different tours for the upcoming summer season, however, we are short 2 qualified and passionate archipelago kayak guides.

As an archipelago kayak guide for Stockholm Adventures you can spend your summer out on the water amongst the beautiful islands in the archipelago, meeting interesting and lovely people from all over the world.  What a fantastic way to spend your summer!

Job Description:

To guide locals and tourists through the serene and beautiful maze of islands that makes up the Stockholm Archipelago.  This includes day tours and multiday tours.

As a guide you will prepare your tour, welcome your guests, give them clear and concise safety instructions, take them out on the water ensuring they are safe and happy, navigate them at a tempo suitable to their abilities, share stories with them about the local area, flora and fauna, provide them with freshly prepared delicious meals, on overnight tours help them with setting up and striking camp, and generally ensure they have a fantastic experience.

You should be a qualified kayaker and have experience in leading groups. You should be able to communicate well in English, with additional languages being desirable.  You should have a driving license.  You should be able to work weekdays and weekends during the summer months; May-September, working approx. 3-4 days per week.
