Stockholm on Two Wheels
One of the best sightseeing tours of Stockholm is to explore the many islands by bike. We will not miss famous sights such as the Old town (Gamla stan) and the Royal Palace. However, the main reason to use our bicycles to tour Stockholm is to be able to explore some of the city’s beautiful hidden jewels.
"The guide explained very well and took a lot of time for every question.
It is exellent to discover a city by bike, much easier than by bus or foot".
"I can recommend it".
Matthias Lefarth, Germany
Great way to explore the town
On a sightseeing by bike one can move quickly and easily between Stockholm’s many islands, which each possess their own character. We follow the shores of the sea and the lake, pedal over bridges and pass all the major sights, such as the Royal Palace and the Royal Dramatic Theatre. The tour will also get you off beaten tourist tracks to see beautiful gardens, picturesque wooden houses from the 17th Century and old oak trees in the world’s first National City Park.
Guided by experts
Our expert guides talk about the city both past and present, showing you beautiful places that are not accessible by bus or boat. Stockholm is a well-planned and safe cycling city with many bicycle ways and green stretches where cars are not allowed. Guided in English.
Program
This is a 2-2,5 hours guided bike tour and the program is as follows:
The tour begins on the island of Skeppsholmen across the water from the Old Town at 11:00 am or 3:00 pm.
We’ll have a look on the old town (Gamla Stan), the Royal Palace and the Opera. Other planned sights include the Swedish Parliament, National Museum of Fine Arts, the Royal National City Park Djurgården, Skansen Open Air Museum, and the Vasa Museum. The tour in the afternoon will spend more time in the National City Park and a bit less in the city itself.
On most of the tour we will use bike lanes or streets with very little trafic.
The tour finishes where we began.
