2008 was the first year of operation for Stockholm Adventures. However, those of us within the company have over 30 years of experience with ecotourism and adventure travel, both in Sweden and around the world. Owner and managing director is Tomas Bergenfeldt. In 1984 Tomas founded Äventyrsresor, the first and still leading outbound adventure operator in Scandinavia. Until recently he still was co-owner and chairman of the board for Äventyrsresor, however is now dedicated to running Stockholm Adventures and to showcase the best natural areas in and around Sweden's beautiful capital city.
The kayak tours with camping have been taken over from Äventyrsresor and are the same that have run for 25 years. These tours were the first to receive the quality label for ecotourism, Natures Best, in 2002. Now most of our tours have this label.
